My Story

At this time, we are limited as to what we can share, as this case and hearings are still ongoing. We would love to hear your stories, testimonies, advice, or needs. Our situation started in May with a false accusation. The accusation has since been dismissed, but DHS/CPS refuses to go away and still tries to fabricate allegations against us. We have fought to dismiss them as fast as they come, but these people are corrupt, unprofessional, biased, and pure evil. At this point, they are committing child endangerment by placing my children in harm’s way and ignoring all of the testimonies, calls, video, and photo evidence showing the illegal activity taking place in the home they call the "safety plan". They accuse me of... More

For 12 years I’ve known Emy to be an adoring mother to her children, and I’ve had many opportunities to observe her parenting. There are two examples I’d like to share with you today:
I’ve always been impressed with her ability to sit and listen to her child when having a meltdown or when arguing with a sibling. The end result was Emy listened attentively, asked questions, offered a solution, gave out hugs, and most often the child or children ran off to play together!
Another strong trait of hers was being consistent in her discipline… NEVER to spank or strike, but most always able to correct with a calm demeanor and simple directives (followed up with consequences for those who didn’t follow through). I’ve seen these situations play out repeatedly through the years with success.
I hope I’ve given you a glimpse into Amelia’s commitment to care and teach her children respect for themselves and others with loving kindness. And for her efforts, I’ve always known the children to be kind to other children and adults… and most importantly, extremely happy with their mom.

For 12 years I’ve known Emy, and she’s become like a daughter to me and my wife, Leslie. We unofficially adopted her and her children into our family and what resulted has been many families. With years of hands-on experience loving and supporting the family. With this being a letter of character reference for Emy, I can in all honesty say she has been “wonder mom” and basically mom AND dad for as long as we’ve known her. Since I’m a lifelong carpenter, I stepped in multiple times to repair and fix things in her home. Her first husband never lifted a finger to help her and rarely paid child support, and the second husband was very busy growing his business, so my wife and I spent a lot of time with the family. The challenge of raising children is daunting, but Emy faced everyday with patience, a sense of humor, lots of hugs and 3 amazing meals a day (Wow, can that girl cook!) But in all seriousness, I have NEVER ONCE witnessed any behavior common to an “unfit mother” as she has been labeled in the court system. I hope and pray that my testimony
sheds some light on our girl, Emy, and her case.

as a neighbor to Amelia, have seen firsthand how great of a mother she is. Before the kids left, Amelia was the sole caretaker of her children. Day in and day out, she is the one the kids leaned on for help/support in their everyday lives. I had never seen a day where she didn't have her children. She always made sure they were well fed and taken care of. Putting everything else last. Taking them from her and putting them in unfamiliar places away from their mother, the comfort of their home and all they knew is causing emotional damage to them that they do not deserve. I hope to see them back with their mother as soon as possible so they can work on their mental well-being, ease their little minds and be able to start school comfortably.
